It's proper bloody cold still....and I LOVE it! Just what winter should be like....ice everywhere!!! This was Lower Bruckland Ponds at 9am....
Pretty much the only ice-free bit of still water anywhere on patch at the moment!
Today, on the estuary there were five Brent Geese and a male Gadwall with Mallards by the tram sheds. Redwings and Wood Pigeons were flying west in small flocks this morning, and early afternoon from the farm gate a flock of 21 Golden Plovers did the same. I could see the Bewick's Swan distantly from here too.
This weather is set to continue apparently..... BRILLIANT!
